The Catchment Modelling Toolkit is now supported by the
eWater CRC following the end of the CRC for Catchment
Hydrology's funding term. Funded until 2012, eWater exists
to build and support decision systems and models for total
water cycle management in urban and rural catchments,
integrating water quality and quantity, stream ecology and
economics. Many of these products will be made available
through the Toolkit. eWater began operations during
September 2005 and incorporates many of the research and
industry organisations from both the CRC for Catchment
Hydrology and the CRC for Freshwater Ecology as well as a
range of new partners.

The Catchment Modelling
Toolkit is a repository of software and supporting documentation
intended to improve the efficiency and standard of catchment
modelling.
It is a resource for the land
and water management industry and the research and development
community supporting that industry.
|
 |
The purpose of the Toolkit is to
enable prediction of the multiple impacts of land and water
management decisions at a whole-of-catchment scale. Its use will
enable land and water managers to manage catchments better,
leading to improved environmental, economic and social outcomes
for Australia.
